Amy Pilkington

- a bit about me -

My name is Amy and I love to capture the fun and enjoyment young ones experience during their swimming lessons, as well as capturing the special bond that develops between the young ones and their parents when they swim together.

My baby was 12 weeks old when I first took him swimming. He really enjoyed the experience and so I continued to take him swimming regularly. It was this special experience that inspired me to become involved in this area of photography.

I have studied photography for more than 20 years, and graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2000 with an HND in photography and digital imaging.

I carried on in the Photography industry, setting up my own photography business and becoming self-employed in 2011, and creating Underwater Portraits By Amy in 2013.

I photograph Newborn babies’ right up to confident independent swimmers, throughout their lessons above and below water. Photographing in pools throughout Norfolk and Suffolk, documenting the fun and enjoyment experienced throughout their lessons.
